Royal Press Unit is responsible for making arrangements for members of the media to cover Royal visits, events and news stories so that they can provide accurate, timely and informative coverage to their audiences.

In this media centre you can find out more about Royal visits and events, and access resources such as press releases, operational notes, speeches and media information packs.

International media

International photographers, reporters and television crews who wish to cover Royal engagements in Kenya, or who are researching documentaries or books on Royal subject matter should contact Royal Communications.

International media who want to cover major Royal ceremonial occasions should contact the Royal Press Unit, in the first instance.

Investitures

Global Media (K) Ltd is contracted to film inside Royal Residences during Investiture ceremonies, and occasionally at other Royal events.

​

Investiture footage can be released for broadcast purposes, provided the recipient has given their permission. Please contact Global Media (K) Ltd.

​

A media position is available for members of the Royal Rota, and on occasion, other accredited press, to interview and/or photograph recipients (who have given their permission) with their awards after the Investiture ceremony. Should media like to use this facility they must contact Royal Press Unit in advance.
